About Me

Singer/Songwriter/Registered Music Therapist

Haoyue is a Mandarin singer/songwriter based in Perth, Australia.

Growing up loving pop songs from both Asian and Western world, Haoyue's influence goes from Stefanie Sun to Ayumi Hamasaki, to Christina Agulera and Britney Spears.

Her music study took her to US where a magnitude of musical genres opened up to her. She fell in love with electronic and R&B music and started listening to artists like Erykah Badu, Cornelius, Zero 7 and Esthero.

The venture into film/TV composition world gave Haoyue opportunities to  strengthen her production skills and utilise her cultural heritage in creating unique Asian-sounding cues which were used in many well-known shows such as "Modern Family", "The Blacklist", and many more.

The journey continues as Haoyue became a registered music therapist in 2018. She now uses her music to help people express emotions and tell their stories.
