Bio

I grew up in a small city in the southwest part of China. Music has been an important part of my life since I was a child. I grew up learning multiple instruments, and I’ve always loved singing. To pursue a career in music has always been what my heart desires, but it isn’t an easy path. When I went to Los Angeles in 2010, I was taken aback by just how many other great artists are trying to do the same thing as me. I spent 6 years working as hard as I can trying to establish myself in the industry there. I received many great opportunities in composing for film/TV. But my performance career never went past singing in clubs and cafes. In 2016, I decided to take a break from the chase, and find a new path in music. I went to Australia to study music therapy in 2017. And I’ve been working with vulnerable people using my music since then. Interestingly enough, through the attempt of helping others and making their voice heard, I was starting to find my own. In 2019, it finally got to a point when my heart is screaming to return to my creative path. And so I followed, just like I always do.

I believe that we are all born with a set of talents. But it’s not the talent alone which should determine where we should go. What’s more important is our desire, the inexplicable, irrational, irresistible desire. After all, we only live once. If we can spend this life pursuing something we genuinely love, then we will be happy, no matter how far we can get.
