This is a song I wrote for a good friend of mine 6 years ago. It was the start of my writing career, when I wasn't exactly confident in my ability to put things in words. However, the song just wrote itself as I thought of my friend and what she was going through. That was the first time I realised how easy it is to write, when you shift the focus away from yourself and onto someone else. To this day, I still benefit from that understanding.
